The Pit and the Pendulum   This is a short story written by Edgar Allan Poe and first published in 1842 in the literary annual The Gift: A Christmas and New Year's Present for 1843. This is also a 1961 film. The Plot In the 16th century, Francis Barnard travels to Spain to clarify the strange circumstances of his sister's death after she had married the son of a cruel Spanish Inquisitor.   This film is really good. Not expecting this to be good at all. Well, I really enjoyed this. The acting was great and the score was amazing. The costumes were really great.   Vincent Price was great in this as well. The castle is very spooky and eerie.  I really liked the ending to this. Overall this was a great fun spooky castle film. It is really good. Highly recommend it. Rating: 8/10

The Presence   This is a 2010 horror thriller film written and directed by Tom Provost. The Plot A woman travels to an isolated cabin she begins to think she is losing her mind when her boyfriend comes to stay. This is a very interesting ghost film. It is very good and well directed. The score is very alarming but tense. It will definitely wake you up!   The cinematography is wonderful to look at. The acting is great. There are some very romantic scenes in this film that I liked. This film is decent and not everyone will probably like it but it is very enjoyable but it is not scary. The ghost character I liked and the ending was very interesting and good. Overall, I enjoyed this film. The score is really good and it is a very good decent ghost film. It has won an award so it is worth watching. Rating: 7/10

Videodrome This is a 1983 Canadian science fiction body horror film written and directed by David Cronenberg, starring James Woods, Sonja Smits, and the singer Deborah Harry. The Plot A sleazy cable-TV programmer begins to see his life and the future of media spin out of control in a very infrequent fashion when he obtains a new kind of programming for his station. Wow. This is a really good film not expecting it to be. It is well directed and I loved it. The acting in this film is really good. The cast in the film is great. Although Deborah Harry is a singer she can act well too. The score to this film is great and it suits the tone of the film. This film is very interesting and intriguing to watch and I don’t think there is any other films quite like this at all. I liked some of the gore in the film it wasn’t too over the top just the right amount but not enough to call it a full on horro...

REC This is a 2007 Spanish zombie horror film, co-written and directed by Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza. The film was shot in Barcelona, Spain. The Plot A television reporter and cameraman follow emergency workers into a dark apartment building and are quickly locked inside with something terrifying. Wow this film is really good. I really enjoyed this alot. This is one of the best found footage films out there. It was very suspenseful at times. There is some great gore in this film as well. This film is bit scary. This is an unusual thing for me to say being as I have seen a lot of horror films in the past. The acting is really good and it did not feel fake at all. This film is very interesting and it is not shaky to make it to be a film footage film; it is real life and clear to watch. Overall, I really liked this film. This is a great found footage film.
