The Pit and the Pendulum

This is a short story written by Edgar Allan Poe and first published in 1842 in the literary annual The Gift: A Christmas and New Year's Present for 1843. This is also a 1961 film.

The Plot

In the 16th century, Francis Barnard travels to Spain to clarify the strange circumstances of his sister's death after she had married the son of a cruel Spanish Inquisitor.

This film is really good. Not expecting this to be good at all. Well, I really enjoyed this.

The acting was great and the score was amazing. The costumes were really great.

Vincent Price was great in this as well. The castle is very spooky and eerie. I really liked the ending to this.

Overall this was a great fun spooky castle film. It is really good. Highly recommend it.

It is based on the Danish fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. This is the 28 th Disney classic. The Plot A mermaid princess makes a Faustian bargain with a devious sea-witch in order to meet a human prince on land. I loved this film so much and probably because it is a Disney film. The animation is this film was really good. The score is very good as well. My favourite song from it was Under The Sea! The story telling to this film is great! I liked how in some scenes the characters show actual emotion when they are sad or happy. I liked the characters apart from Ursula of course.
