The Evil Dead
This is a 1981 American horror film written and directed by
Sam Raimi and executive produced by Raimi and Bruce Campbell, who also stars
alongside Ellen Sandweiss and Betsy Baker.
The Plot
Five friends travel to a cabin in the woods, where they
unknowingly release flesh-possessing demons.
This film was great. It was a lot different to what I thought
it would be like. I actually thought it be full on gore from start to finish,
which it isn’t.
The acting in this film was very good. The score was as
well; it suited the tone of the film.
It is definitely one of those fun 80s horror flicks for
sure. The gore in this was very good, there wasn’t an extreme overdose amount
of it, but wasn’t too little amount of it. That is good!!
The sound effects in this film were pretty great. The demon
voices were very creepy and spooky but weird at the same time.
I liked how the film was edited together it makes it look
unique from other horror films. I also liked how this film wasn’t too slow
paced at the start at all.
The ending was great, probably my favourite part of the
film.
Overall, I enjoyed it. Great 80s horror film! I highly
recommend this.
