The Last Horror Film
This is a 1982 American horror comedy film directed by David
Winters.
The Plot
A New York taxi driver stalks a beautiful actress attending
the Cannes Film Festival, which coincides with a series of violent killings of
the lady's friends.
Well this film was interesting, but good interesting. I really
enjoyed this film for what I was – the plot concept was very interesting and
throughout the film it approached it quite well. This film did have bit of a
slow start though.
I really liked the score in this film it was very fun and suspenseful
at times when it needed to be. The soundtrack made this film so much funnier
and fun – really enjoyed the soundtrack it sort of lightened up the mood to the
film although it’s a slasher horror film.
The acting in this film was very good. The actor who played
the really creepy and deranged guy was good. He was for sure extremely creepy
and very obsessive with ‘Jenna’ and wanted to ‘direct movies’.
One of the favourite parts about this film is throughout
this film there are scenes which show old film posters from various films. Also,
from time to time you’ll see license to kill movie poster a lot – which made me
laugh as I watched all 007 movies this year all up to date.
There were some great gore in this. There wasn’t much though.
I did like the eye scene although was bit weird after that scene ended.
I really liked the third part of the film. This part makes
the film even more interesting and where more gore starts to happen. I really
liked the bit when the creepy man gets a chainsaw and saws of a man’s head –
then the ending concluding the end of the film was very good and witty.
Overall, I really enjoyed this movie a lot. This movie could
have been better. There are some good scenes in this film and some great gore. This
is a unique slasher movie for sure! Although, the soundtrack was awesome.
