The Quiet Ones

This is a 2014 British supernatural horror film directed by John Pogue.

The Plot

A university professor and a team of students conduct an experiment on a young woman, uncovering terrifyingly dark, unexpected forces in the process.

Wow this film was good. This is a dark eerie film for sure. Unfortunately you have to be in the mood to watch because if you are not you won’t really understand it much.

I enjoyed the score to this film it made it a lot more intriguing and I recognised some of the songs which is always good. The songs made the film bit more interesting and eerie at times.

The acting was very good. The actress who played Jane she acted brilliantly. All the characters were very interesting the Professor was a bit weird for sure.

Most of the scenes in this film are very good. My favourite part is the ending as the plot twist is very good and interesting. As this is a more recent horror film I don’t want to spoil anything by describing my favourite scenes.

Some scenes in this film are a little dull at times. It didn’t bother me too much.

This film may not be for everyone. This is a very well-directed film and is a Hammer film production which is pretty cool.

Overall, I really liked this film. I would highly recommend it, although you have to be in the mood to watch this film. The acting was great. If you like horror films or you are new to horror you would like this as you may not be used to gore and this does have some gore but not a lot. This is very eerie but great!
