ZoeMovieReviews: You're Next

You're Next   This is a 2011 American independent slasher film directed by Adam Wingard, written by Simon Barrett, and starring Sharni Vinson, Nicholas Tucci, Wendy Glenn, A. J. Bowen, and Joe Swanberg. It got released in 2013 in US & UK.   The Plot   A family comes under attack during their wedding anniversary getaway, the gang of mysterious killers soon learns that one of the victims harbours a secret talent for fighting back.   I really liked and enjoyed this film. It is well directed and looks great on blu ray.   The first few opening scenes to this film was a great way to introduce this badass film.   The acting was brilliant especially by the actress who played Erin. There are so many suspense scenes in this film.   I did like the song that kept playing on repeat and the score in this film.   My favourite scene is when one of the intruders comes in gets d...

ZoeMovieReviews: Teen Beach Movie

Teen Beach Movie   This is a Disney Channel Original Movie that premiered July 19, 2013 on Disney Channel. It   stars Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell.   The Plot   Two surfing lovers, whose doomed relationship is nearing to a close, find themselves swept into a time-travelling tidal wave that transports them to the 60s, where they find themselves during filming of a beach musical movie.   This is so amazing. It is so good. I am glad I own this although took ages to arrive.   This is a musical, so be aware a ton of singing is going on. I love all the musical numbers in this. They are catchy, cheesy, fun and great. They actually sing really well.   The acting is very good being as most Disney channel original movies the acting isn’t always that great. It’s quirky and funny at times. It can also be very serious and emotional which is good.   I honestly don’t have any favourite ...

ZoeMovieReviews: Macabre

Macabre   This is a 1980 Italian horror film directed by Lamberto Bava.   The Plot   A middle-aged woman, devastated from the death of her unlawful lover, moves into a room at a New Orleans boarding house. The blind landlord becomes suspicious to her activities of continuing her affair with her dead lover.   This film is very weird for sure. I didn’t know much about the film before I watched it which is good.   The acting in this film was good. The score was great and it meant the film a bit more interesting for the parts of the film where nothing much is going on.   There are a lot weird scenes in this film. The scene where the mother’s daughter drowns her own brother that was very strange. The scenes where the mother tries to make love with her lovers severed head. That is bizarre. The scene where the girl gives her mother some soup and there is an earlobe in it, that was quite clever. ...

ZoeMovieReviews: The Little Mermaid

The Little Mermaid   This is a 1989 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is based on the Danish fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. This is the 28 th Disney classic.   The Plot   A mermaid princess makes a Faustian bargain with a devious sea-witch in order to meet a human prince on land.   I loved this film so much and probably because it is a Disney film.   The animation is this film was really good. The score is very good as well. My favourite song from it was Under The Sea!   The story telling to this film is great! I liked how in some scenes the characters show actual emotion when they are sad or happy. I liked the characters apart from Ursula of course. My favourite character is Sebastian who is the red crab not lobster!   I do have a few favourite scenes from this film. The scenes whe...

ZoeMovieReviews: Interview With The Vampire

Interview with the Vampire   This is a 1994 American drama horror film directed by Neil Jordan, based on the 1976 novel Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. It stars Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt.   The Plot   A vampire tells his epic life story: love, betrayal, loneliness, and hunger.   This film is alright but from what people have told me saying it’s really good but I think it is a bit overrated.   It is a very interesting film, although some parts I felt was bland and boring for me.   The acting was great in the film as well as the score. The score in this film I really liked.   I did like the fact that it would go back to the past although most of those scenes it reminded me of period drama which I don’t really like. To be honest I don’t hate this film but it isn’t really a film for me. My favourite part was the ending. There aren’t much memorable scenes in this film as so...
