The Bat
This is an American mystery film from 1959 directed by Crane
Wilbur. It is starring Vincent Price and Agnes Moorehead. The film's tagline
was "When it flies, someone dies!"
The Plot
A crazy killer known as "The Bat" is on the loose
in a mansion full of people.
This film is in black and white. The transfer of this onto
DVD is great. The score to this film was very good. It made the film more
interesting.
The acting in this film was very good.
There are some great scenes in this film. The woman sees a hand in between the curtains
that was a cool scene. Another great scene is when the bat is flying around the
woman’s bedroom. I really enjoyed the bat and Dr. Wells fighting scene.
The ending to this film was alright. It was cool to see who ‘the
bat’ at the end is. I found it interesting that ‘The Bat’ is based on a play.
Overall, the acting and the score was good. There are some
great scenes in this. This is an alright film. This isn’t my favourite Vincent
Price film out of all the ones I have seen. This is a fun mystery film. I still
would recommend you see this if you like mystery and like Vincent Price films.
