ZoeMovieReviews: Dawn of the Dead (1978)

Dawn of the Dead (1978)

This is also known globally as Zombi. This is a 1978 horror film written and directed by George A. Romero. It was the second film made in Romero's Living Dead series. The cast features David Emge, Ken Foree, Scott Reiniger and Gaylen Ross.

The Plot

Following an ever-growing rampant of zombies that have risen from the dead, two Philadelphia S.W.A.T. team members, traffic reporter and his television management girlfriend seek retreat in a secluded shopping mall.

I really liked this film. I thought the whole concept of zombies being in a shopping mall was great. I enjoyed it a lot some moments in the film made me laugh a bit.

The zombies looked quite good in this film. The gore in this film was really good. I do prefer day of the dead to this, but Dawn of the Dead is my second favourite in the George A. Romero’s Living Dead series.

The acting of the zombies and the normal people in this film was really good. The score to this film I liked and it did suit the atmosphere of the film.

There are many great scenes in this film. All of the scenes when the zombies are in the shopping mall was great. I thought it was really cool. The scene when the normal people in this film were just helping themselves to stuff in the shopping mall I thought was brilliant. The scenes when the guys were shooting the zombies in the mall was really great!

The ending to this film was really good. I liked the ending a lot. I won’t tell you what happens in the end because I don’t like giving away too much spoilers to people who haven’t seen the film yet.

I do really enjoy the original Living Dead series. They are all unique and good in their own way. I think everyone should see all these films at least once in their life. They are all good zombie horror films.

In my honest opinion my favourite one out of the three is Day of the Dead.

Overall, I thought this film was great. The zombies acted well and the normal people in this film did as well. The score was great. This is a fun gory zombie horror film! I highly recommend you see all of the original Living Dead series. (All of the three films are reviewed on here).

Here is the youtube video I made if you want to check that out as well: GlossyBox video When you open up the box it is packaged nice and looks really pretty. Its very pink themed and it comes with pink tissue paper and black tissue paper to hold the products in safely as well as looking nice. This is what the inside of the glossy box looks like. GlossyBox sends you 5 full size products and on the card in the box it tells you the price and the description of each item. The first item that is in the box is: Elgon Deliwash cleansing conditioner . This costs £14.50. This is a shampoo and conditioner all in one. This means you can use it multiple times, without using too many pr...

ZoeMovieReviews: Grave Encounters

Grave Encounters This is a 2011 Canadian supernatural horror film, shot found footage style. The Plot For their ghost hunting reality show, a production crew locks themselves inside an abandoned mental hospital that's supposedly haunted - and it might prove to be all too true. Wow this probably one of the more decent and better found footage films I have seen in a long time. I liked the whole idea that it was part of their ghost hunting reality show – thought that was cool. At the start when the host was interviewing people, the part when he ask a man if he has seen any ghosts or anything like that and just gives him 20 bucks to pretend to say that he has. That was so funny! The acting was really good in this. I find that this film has a lot more interesting and creepy stuff than any of those paranormal activity films. This film, isn’t scary...
