The Raid 2
This is a 2014 Indonesian martial arts action crime thriller
film written and directed by Gareth Evans. This is the sequel to the 2011 film
The Raid: Redemption.
The Plot
It follows SWAT member Rama, the hero of the first film, as
he is sent undercover to take down both corrupt police officials and the gangs
of the criminal underworld.
This film is so good. It’s really good. I liked the first
one and this one l liked even more. I don’t think I can compare both of the
films because they both equally good.
There isn’t much score in this one than the first one, which
didn’t bother me. The score did suit the tone of the film. Some of the score to
this is very unique.
There are a lot of great scenes in this film. There are so
many, but I won’t tell you every single one of them because it just ruins the
whole film.
The scenes where Rama is in the prison and there’s that
little montage and it’s raining outside. I thought that was cool. Then when the
prisoners fight other prisoners I really liked that scene!
The scenes where Prakoso kills one of the guys who jumps over
the fence with a long samurai knife thing. That was pretty cool.
The scene where the girl kills the guys on the train with
the hammer was brilliant.
I really liked the ending to this film. I am not going to
spoil what happens in the end. The film is just too good.
The acting was great and marital art scenes were brilliant.Rama is still my favourite character out of both of the films. Yet
again another fantastic film, but even better than the first one.
There is a lot of gore elements in this. It makes the film more fun and awesome.
Overall, I really liked this film a lot. It’s a great fun
martial arts action film. The acting was great. Rama is still my favourite character
out of both of the films. It is Indonesian
film but it does have subtitles. I highly recommend this film if you have seen
The Raid or you like martial arts and action films. I love this film, it’s so
good!
