This is an American biographical war drama film directed by Clint Eastwood and written by Jason Hall. It was released in 2014 in the US but only recently came to the UK cinemas early February 2015. The film is based on the book American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in US Military History by Chris Kyle.
The film stars Bradley Cooper as Kyle and Sienna Miller as his wife, Taya. It has Luke Grimes, Kyle Gallner, Sam Jaeger, Jake McDorman and Cory Hardrict in supporting roles. The Plot
This film is about Chris Kyle who trains up to be a Navy SEAL sniper. He's pinpoint accuracy saves countless lives on the battlefield and turns him into a legend. He comes back home to his wife and kids after four tours of duty. Chris Kyle still finds that it is the war he can't leave behind.
This film was far by one of the more interesting and good war films I have ever seen in my life. I am usually not too keen on war films, but this was really great. The visuals on the film I really liked. There are some scenes in the film where some of the Navy Seal snipers had to run in the misty atmosphere to get onto the vehicle. That scene was great, it felt realistic.
Throughout the whole film Bradley Cooper acted excellent. He was great for the role of Chris Kyle.
I don't think any other actor who play Chris Kyle well other than Bradley Cooper. He's performance was outstanding in this film. All the other supporting actors and actresses performed great as well.
I really liked how throughout the film it would go back to Chris Kyle's past. For example: how he met he's wife. I really liked the montage of him training in the Navy SEAL I thought that was really good. The fact that it just doesn't focus on him on the tours, it focus on he's life at home - which made the film more intriguing towards me.
Throughout the film there are few witty jokes which made me laugh. I thoroughly enjoyed this film. The end credits of the film was very sweet and sentimental. It has photos of the real Chris Kyle and the ceremony.
Overall, I really thought this film was intriguing and very good. I would highly recommend this to everyone. The scenes where shot well and Bradley Cooper played an excellent, outstanding role of Chris Kyle.
