ZoeMovieReviews: 7 Days

7 Days   This is a 2010 Canadian thriller film directed by Daniel Grou and starring Claude Legault. The screenplay was written by Patrick Senécal. This is based on his novel Les sept jours du talion.   The Plot A doctor pursues revenge by kidnapping, torturing and killing the man who raped and murdered his young daughter.   This film is great. I really liked it. This has no score in this film, but that didn’t really matter because it didn’t need any.   The acting of the Doctor and his wife in this film was really good. The torture scenes were very violent, but not as violent as I thought it would be.   There aren’t really any memorable scenes in this. It’s just the torture scenes. The torture scenes I mean by the daughters Dad getting revenge on the man who harmed and raped he’s daughter. The torture scenes were good, but weren’t as violent as I thought they’d be.     I did find it...

ZoeMovieReviews: Night of the Living Dead

Night of the Living Dead (1968)     This is a 1968 American independent zombie horror film directed by George A. Romero, starring Duane Jones, Judith O'Dea and Karl Hardman. It has been a cult classic ever since 1968.   Plot A group of people takes refuge in an abandoned house when corpses begin to leave the graveyard in search of fresh human bodies to devour.   One by one, the living humans become the prey of the deceased ones.   This film was fun to watch. It is in black and white, which is cool. I did like this film, but I do prefer Day of the Dead a lot more than this one.   I thought the scene when Johnny and Barbara are in the graveyard and Johnny says “They’re coming to get you, Barbra" was funny. Then she is attacked by a strange man.     In this film there aren’t that many memorable scenes. A few scenes that I thought were great was when the little girl eats her dad and ki...

ZoeMovieReviews: Tucker & Dale vs.Evil

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil This is a 2010 Canadian comedy horror film written and directed by Eli Craig. The film stars Alan Tudyk, Tyler Labine and Katrina Bowden.   The Plot Two scruffy friends backwoods vacation takes a bloody turn when ignorant college students mistake them for a pair of murderous hillbillies.   Well, this film is so much fun!! I had a fun time watching this! I really enjoyed it a lot and it is actually funny whereas some comedy films nowadays are not so funny anymore, just stupid.   As soon as the few scenes were on I laughed. The scene where it was supposed to be similar to one of the VHS films at start was brilliant so funny. There are a lot of very funny scenes throughout this film. Some of my favourite scenes where when Dale was just holding the grim reaper weapon near the gas station that was very funny. When Tucker was running with he’s chainsaw because there were a load of bees flying – too fu...

When the three bachelors set off to investigate enticing rumours of a Slovakian hostel in a city populated by lusty women, they find themselves drawn unwittingly into a deadly game.   Well, this film is different. I have never seen a film like this, I know it’s meant to be similar to saw – that I can’t justify as I h...

With the help of her doctor and sister, she learns to see again. Soon, however, frightening visions convince her that a terrifying alternate world exists, and only she can see it.   This film is great. I liked it a lot not what I was expecting, thought it would be a much more of a gory horror film. This film surprised me a lot, I didn’t really know too much about it. I do really think it’s a underrated film, as not many people talk about it.   The first few scenes of this film...

Identity This is a 2003 American mystery thriller film directed by James Mangold from a screenplay written by Michael Cooney. The film stars John Cusack, Ray Liotta, Amanda Peet, Alfred Molina, Clea DuVall and Rebecca De Mornay.                                       The Plot Stranded at a desolate Nevada motel during a nasty rain-storm, ten strangers become acquainted with each other when they realize that they're being killed off one by one.   Well, this film was alright. Hmm, it was pretty interesting and very confusing at the same time. I did like the concept of what the film is supposed to be about.   I thought this film had potential throughout until it got to the last act of the film. That bit really did confuse me a lot. I am not going to spoil that...

Martin's PISSED, but with the help of his new Zombie Squad chums he's going to deliver some payback to Colonel Herzog and his precious Nazi gold - by raising an undead army of his own.   This film is so great!! I have seen the first one which I thought was brilliant. It is probably best for anyone who’s interested in this film that they should watch Dead Snow (D ød Snø) as well. Although, the first few scenes of the film is that it’s reminding you some of things that happened in the first film. That I liked, as it gave me an idea of what happened from the first film as I only watc...
