7 Days
This is a 2010 Canadian thriller film directed by Daniel Grou
and starring Claude Legault. The screenplay was written by Patrick Senécal. This
is based on his novel Les sept jours du talion.
The Plot
A doctor pursues revenge by kidnapping, torturing and
killing the man who raped and murdered his young daughter.
This film is great. I really liked it. This has no score in
this film, but that didn’t really matter because it didn’t need any.
The acting of the Doctor and his wife in this film was
really good. The torture scenes were very violent, but not as violent as I thought
it would be.
There aren’t really any memorable scenes in this. It’s just
the torture scenes. The torture scenes I mean by the daughters Dad getting revenge
on the man who harmed and raped he’s daughter. The torture scenes were good,
but weren’t as violent as I thought they’d be.
I did find it very
interesting that’s it is based on a novel. I did find that he would kill the
man in 7 days being the 7th day to be on he’s daughter’s birthday very
interesting as a revenge plan.
I did find the ending to be a different outcome to what I wanted
and expected it to be. I felt really emotional towards the parents in the film.
I could understand that the Dad wanted the man the to feel the same pain as he did
to the girl. I think most people in this situation would want to do the same
thing, but probably wouldn’t go through with it at all.
There’s no music at all. That gave the film a lot more
intense and emotional impact of the film. The film is in French so I could
understand some of what they were saying and it had subtitles as well.
Overall, I did really like this film. The acting was good. I
thought it was a very interesting film, there is some violent scenes in this
but nothing too bad. This is a French film so there are subtitles. The ending wasn’t
as good and not what I expected, but I would recommend this to everyone! It is
a good thriller film.
